All-cash sales fall in Alabama

All-cash sales fall in Alabama

Industries: Residential Real Estate

Markets: Statewide

The number of all-cash home sales across the United States has fallen, and despite a dip in November, Alabama remains one of the top states in this category.

According to CoreLogic's latest Cash & Distressed Sales November 2016 report, 47.3 percent of all sales in Alabama during November were all-cash, just below New York (47.4 percent).

This number is actually up from the mid-year report in July which indicated that 44 percent of transactions in Alabama were all-cash at the time, but by October of last year, that number had risen to 48 percent.

Alabama remains the highest in cash sales in the Southeast, whith Florida (42 percent) being the only other state in the region to crack the 40 percent mark.

Cash sales were also high in Michigan (44.1 percent) and Indiana (41 percent).

Below is a map from CoreLogic that provides a look at all-cash sales across the U.S.
